Despite a pandemic, the 2021 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference was a success! One hundred school districts, ESDs and community colleges attended the event and 89% of attendees were public school employees.

There were 67 teams, or public K-12 districts, ESDs or community colleges with two or more employees attending, at this year’s conference. As in past years, all teams were entered into a drawing for $200 to put towards school employee wellness efforts. This year’s winners are Dayton School District, David Douglas School District and Fern Ridge School District!

The conference featured seven breakout sessions that focused on individuals’ sense of purpose and social, emotional and physical well-being. Five of these sessions are available on the OEA Choice Trust Conference Archive page.

Seven rejuvenation sessions were also offered! Introduction to birding, journaling and guided meditation and reflection were new to the rejuvenation activity line up. Returning favorites were Zumba (not recorded), yoga and a cooking demo. All recorded rejuvenation sessions are also available on the OEA Choice Trust Conference Archive page

Recordings of the keynotes are only available to those who registered for the conference and can be viewed in the Virtual Attendee Hub. These will be available, along with all other recordings in the attendee hub, for a limited time. Moe Carrick’s recordings will be available to conference registrants through May 8, 2021. Other recordings on the Virtual Attendee Hub will be available through August 8, 2021.
